Dawn had her eyes opened for more than a half hour today. She is very responsive to the sound of your voice. The nurse asked her if she was okay and she nodded. It was a very exciting morning. However, after a couple hours of being awake she gets tired and it seems she begins to feel the pain so they have to sedate her again. Each day she seems to gain more and more strength. She is always adding a few extra breaths of her own to the respirator. It was great to see her pretty green eyes!
