The doctors did a culture on Dawn's legs and we are waiting for the results. If everything comes back fine with the culture, then they will be removing her tracheal tube, possibly today. They will first need to put a scope in her nose and throat to be sure everything looks good. The doctor said Dawn is "close" to leaving- very vague so it leaves room for interpretation. It seems so long that Dawn has been in the hospital and I can't wait for her to finally be out of the hospital and into rehab!! She has come a long way, but still has a long way to go.
