Dawn is improving. She is taking less pain meds and was awake during my whole visit yesterday. She had 1/2 a cheeseburger for dinner and is starting to get her appetite back. She did some therapy exercises yesterday so she can start regaining her strength.

Thank you to everyone who has been sending cards her way. Dawn is touched by all of your kind thoughts. The doctors will be giving her general anesthesia today so that they may change her dressings and check on her legs to be sure everything is healthy and adapting well.
