Getting better

Dawn looked much better yesterday. Her skin is looking great and she was no longer swollen from her surgery. She is still in some pain and they are giving her meds for this. She has had difficulty sleeping so they gave her something to sleep last night and she slept for 12 hours!!! She definitely needs it. They are putting her smaller trache in today so that she may speak and eat again. She has been having some anxiety which is definitely expected. Unfortunately, tomorrow she may possibly be going in for surgery again. We are not sure for how long, but they are going to be working on her right leg. How much more can her poor little body take?? She is continuing her fight and always seems to battle through these surgeries. We will all be happy when all the surgeries are complete!

Lord, Please lay your hands upon Dawn's body and ease her pain. May your presence be near her and her family. Though we don't understand her suffering, you do. Protect her and give her strength. In Jesus Name, Amen
